There are two airports that you can access when you are heading to Nainital. First of all, you can either land at Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi and then take an overnight ride in a bus or a rental car to the hills. And, this seems pretty convenient to us.
However, if you are opting for Pantnagar Airport, then it is still a distance of 70 km from Nainital. So again, you can opt for a bus or car for the rest of the journey.
By train
The nearest railway station is Kathgodam which is only 23 km from the hilly town. You can take a bus ride from here or even a shared cab or rental car for the rest of the journey.
By road
Road journey to Nainital is also pretty flexible with Highways and well-constructed hill paths connecting main cities like Dehradun, Almora, Delhi to the hills of Nainital.

By train
