Story of the Stay:

Envision lush plantations as you step out of your room.

The route leading to the Clifftop Retreat winds by plantations of coffee, bananas, cardamom, wild black pepper, areca nuts, rice fields, and unidentified hamlets. The road climbs the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats, hugged by thick, dry forests of deciduous and evergreen trees. A light chill permeates the aromatic air. The vistas spread out over fruit orchards, vegetable patches, and plantations of coffee and spices as the resort gets closer.

The resort's foyer, perched on a hilltop, is decorated with opulent armchairs and brass oil lamps. The elegant hostesses greet the guests with ceremony while dressed in traditional garb. Contiguous to the foyer, a dining space with huge expanses of glass on two ends provides breathtaking vistas. Over an infinity pool, the vista stretches out to the distant plains and mountains on the horizon at one end. At the further end, past a kid-friendly play area, a groomed garden, and a forest of bamboo.

The resort has a honeymoon penthouse suite, premium valley view, premium valley view plus, premium plantation view, standard rooms, deluxe rooms, and a trinity suite. These rooms are perfect for families, couples, and friends.

Romantic Dinner:

Step outside beneath the enormous canopy of a starry night, relax, and enjoy a romantic supper consisting of a five-course meal served in the garden or by the pool.

Dining:

The dining area's large glass expanses on both ends create the perfect atmosphere for a delicious dinner while offering exceptional views of the surroundings. In addition to delectable desserts, the resort's varied menu offers southeastern and pan-Indian dishes. Depending on the resort's occupancy, the kitchen offers buffets and à la carte meals.

Infinity Pool:

From the pool, you can see the huge expanse of sky above and the imposing Western Ghats mountains in the distance. Magical sunsets may be seen from the pool. From the main pool, there's a kid-only paddle pool.

Plantation View Pool:

A smaller pool flanked by coffee plantations and fruit orchards is located in between the group of rooms with plantation views. Many birds reside in the towering trees overhead, where they enchant visitors throughout the day with the sound of a wandering breeze. It is ideal for those who want to unwind by the pool or have a private dip.

Gym:

The gymnasium, which has a view of the campfire area, is ideal for guests hoping to burn off some of the excess calories they've consumed during their vacation and for fitness enthusiasts. The gymnasium is roomy and has large glass windows that let in plenty of natural light. It is also furnished with cutting-edge technology to meet a variety of needs.

Rope Activities and Zipline:

Beginner to advanced aptitude levels are covered in the nine-course rope action program that the resort offers. The zipline, on the other hand, is just an exhilarating rush of pure adrenaline. Attached to a steel cable that is extended far above the ground by a pulley, a participant is propelled by gravity to go down the inclined cable over a heavily forested depression and across to the other side.

Nature Walk:

The guided nature walk, which winds through the estate surrounding the resort, lasts for an hour. Coorg is home to 25% of all species in India, making it a veritable gold mine for ecologists.

Fishing:

There's a pond not far from the resort via a hidden pathway. The pond, which is surrounded by the coffee plantation on all sides and is filled with tilapia and common carp, is a great place to have a picnic and go freshwater fishing.

Bonfire:

Go outside, have a look at the campfire where visitors congregate around a clearing, listen to music that transports you on a spiritual trip, and experience a moment of time travel. In the darkness, fireflies dart around, and sometimes the mist breaks to show a starry sky.

Yoga:

There are a few locations across the resort that are perfect for yoga. Pick a location in the garden or beside the pool. There are yoga mats available.

Cycling:

The resort provides bicycles, and along the path, visitors may observe glowing flowers, luminous trees that shade countless birds, delectable fruit dangling from branches, tiny creatures, and insects that engage in hide-and-seek.

Birdwatching:

Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of unique and migratory bird species on the plantation during bird-watching tours. For example, the Pacific Swallow, Yellow Browed Bulbul, Grasshopper Warbler, Orphean Warbler, and Yellow Billed Babbler.

Jeep Drive:

A trip that takes you through pepper and coffee fields via car. Most likely, visitors will notice armies of money perched on the overhanging branches, and those who are lucky may even see an elephant searching for a watering hole.

Night Safari:

The experience is unlike any other; after pulling up to a site, the car's engine is silenced and you are engulfed in a remarkable symphony of noises, including the constant chirping of cicadas, the deep rumblings of owls, and the cries of creatures farther into the forest.

Coffee Plantation Visit:

The most common plantation crop in the region and one that is well-known for its unique flavor is the Robusta coffee produced in Coorg. Following the Baba Budangiri hills in Karnataka, Coorg is India's second-largest coffee-producing region.
